Matthew 24
Matthew 24 is Jesus very specific answers to His disciples’ very specific questions.
This class explores the depths of Jesus’ thinking about the fall of Jerusalem, which was still about 40 years in the future from when He spoke these words; as well as the very end of the world as we know it. Our goal is accuracy and clarity, understanding Jesus’ answers as His disciples would have heard them.

Parenting Class
Welcome to the Parenting class.
One of my favorite sayings is this one: “In the life of every problem there is a time when it is big enough to see yet small enough to solve.” It's an exaggeration, it's not true for every problem, but it is certainly true for a vast majority of adults. Character problems, self-desctructive behavior, bad habits are problems that are very hard to deal with as adults even when an adult is willing to admit to them, but they are a lot easier to correct in a child.

The Great Revelation
John's Revelation, the last book of The Bible, has inspired the imaginations of men and women for many centuries. There is still a lot of debate about what God is trying to tell us through the Holy Spirit inspired writing of John. The format and the style of The Revelation is not something that we, in the 21st century, are at all familiar with. The book is not inenting to be misleading, it is, in fact, a Revelation, a clarifier. Our trouble usually comes from presuppositions, opaque cultural overlays we put over the text, usually equally unintentionally.
